SOME Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Director, Business Planning & Analysis to join our Finance team. Position Description : The Director of Business Planning & Analysis will support the Executive Leadership Team to identify and implement formal systematic business planning, budgeting, and reporting processes that support measurable and continuous improvement in the operational and financial performance of SOME. This position will act as a strategic business partner to all members of the organization delivering value-added business analysis as well as defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics to enable effective and efficient decision-making. The Director of Business Planning and Analysis will manage the business planning and analysis function within the Finance department creating functional strategies, specific objectives and producing policies/procedures to support the infrastructure of the business planning & analysis function. **MUST SUBMIT RESUME AND COVER LETTER FOR CONSIDERATION** Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Qualifications: Required : 8-10 years of experience in Budgeting, Planning and Financial Analysis; BS in Accounting or Finance Preferred : 10+ years of experience in Budgeting, Planning and Financial Analysis; BS in Accounting or Finance, 2-3 years supervisory experience; Certifications MBA, CPA, or CMA. Required License/Certification : N/A Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint, and Word. Extensive experience with major dedicated planning and budgeting software, report and presentation development. Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to manage simultaneous projects and priorities required. Ability to work with non-financial managers and translate program plans into budgets. Proven ability to think strategically and implement tactically within a non-profit organizational culture. Works well with individuals with different work styles and approaches. Expected Contributions : Business Planning and Budgeting Lead the budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, implementation, and business strategic analysis of the finance team. Formalizing a comprehensive process and framework for developing driver-based plans and budgets that link operational activities and financial resources. Collaborate with Facility and Asset Management teams in the development and implementation of a Capital Program to responsibly maintain our real estate portfolio. Manage, develop, communicate and drive the budget/planning timeline, creating/maintaining budget templates, files, and preparing budget deliverables. Document, codify, and clearly define planning horizons, processes, cycles, roles, and timing in budget policies and procedure manual. Routinely review and update the manual as organizational changes and circumstances dictate. Operational and Financial Performance Reporting Prepare and distribute all internal performance reporting documents including dashboards, scorecards, and monthly/quarterly/annual reviews by program and for the agency at large. Conduct financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting of internal performance against key business metrics including revenue, cost, margin, ratios, and operational outcomes ensuring efficient financial operations. Review analytical results to develop insightful suggestions for investment, sourcing, cost reduction, and overall strategic business decisions. Coordinate with the Development staff and Program staff to provide financial information for grant proposals and progress reports. Ancillary and Decision Support Analysis Function as an in-house expert of dedicated planning and budgeting software used in the development of SOME's business plan, budget and performance reports. Prepare annually required Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for the Dental, Medical, and BHS FQHC clinics including work paper and supplemental schedule preparation. Oversee Enterprise Risk management function including designing and implementing overall risk management processes for the organization. Conduct administration of risk assessments and evaluations recommending informed risk tolerance levels to senior leadership. Manage insurance broker relationship and coordinate purchase of a commercial package of property, casualty, liability, auto, and worker's compensation policies.
