The Night Manager role is crucial to the overall success of the Welcome Desk and the entire hotel operation. Engaging with our guests and being passionate about our service is a must! The right fit for this role will demonstrate initiative, be a team player, show pride in their work, be observant, and most importantly, have a "positively yours" mentality.The Night Manager is responsible for overall operation of the front desk overnight, including, but not limited to: performing the night audit, reservation management, associate staffing, training, record keeping, report preparation, guest relations, and supply ordering.This position involves working shifts at the desk on a regular basis.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInteract positively with guests promoting hotel facilities and servicesMaintains accurate departmental recordsPerform the night auditBalance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and reset the system for next day operationsPrepare and distribute required reportsCheck in and out guests in an efficient and guest service oriented mannerResolve guest complaints and concernsDevelop and implement cost saving and profit enhancing measuresMonitors safety conditions and employees' conformance with safety procedures and coordinates training programsConducts facility inspections throughout the hotel to assure cleanliness, safety and other standards are consistently metEncourage an authentic experience that anticipates the needs of our guestsMonitor hotel parking arrangements and ensure an on-going smooth, seamless experience for guestsWorking with Housekeeping and Engineering teams to ensure hotel public spaces are maintainedCommunicate with all management staff on relationship successes and or issues within the hotelPerform other duties as requested by managementPREREQUISITES:Education:High School graduate or GED completionProfessional Experience:A minimum of 2 years of hotel management experience is required. Hilton and OnQ experience preferred.Physical Requirements:Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
