SummarySupports the project/program management of the ASH organization in the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Security Division, AXE-U00. Applies experience and comprehensive technical knowledge of UAS aircraft, operations, networked infrastructure, airspace, security, mitigation, and integration.Incumbent serves as a UAS Security project management expert to support FAA internal and inter-agency activities related safe and secure integration of UAS into the aviation ecosystem and ensure authorities granted in Title 10 section 130i, Title 6 section 124n, Title 18, and Title 49 provisions ensure that UAS detection and mitigation systems deployed by partner agencies are coordinated appropriately with the FAA to mitigate any negative impacts on the National Airspace System (NAS) by:Manages and tracks the implementation of UAS Security efforts across the spectrum of Federal, State, local, tribal and territorial governments and private entities as authorized by the Congress to accomplish critical mission responsibilities and support key goals and objectives in ensuring the protection of critical Infrastructure (facilities, personnel and assets), and maintaining the safety of the NAS.Fosters relationships on internal and inter-agency working groups to which ASH/AXE participate in UAS Security activities.Provides programmatic management as well as technical guidance and expertise in supporting Congressional mandates and fostering inter-agency relationships for UAS Security activities.Cross-functional integrator with inter-agency experience working across the whole of government.Provides programmatic management as well as being a subject matter on establishing UAS security related programs for presenting status reports of current projects, review of technical assistance, and the dissemination of information.Provides organizational, documentation and programmatic expertise for UAS Security activities for meetings and working groups of ASH staff assigned responsibility for integrating UAS.Serves as a subject matter expert in the definition, development, management, and implementation of the changes required to evolve UAS Security project management including elements required to perform security oversight of industry UAS activities.Coordinates actions and policies with other FAA Lines of Business on UAS security projects; coordinates development of AXE project management for ASH involving UAS Security activities; prepares and supports plans that cross FAA and interagency, program specific, and organizational lines.Ensures alignment of all projects and programs with tactical and strategic (short-term and long- term) objectives in coordination with UAS Security Division Manager.Liaise with other ASH offices on the development, implementation, and reporting of UAS Security initiatives.Provides periodic reports to Division Manager and Senior leadership on UAS Security initiatives/projects.Travel Required Occasional travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis.
