The Enterprise Services Team is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Software Analyst II/Technologist to help build and design our Enterprise Services. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to think strategically and be innovative while working in a collaborative team-oriented environment. The candidate must exhibit strong critical-thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, and be process-oriented as well as have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. A proven track record as a team player plus the ability to work independently given general direction is also required.Requirements/Qualifications:The candidate should be able to demonstrate a successful track record of developing requirements to deliver enterprise-level IT solutions. A successful candidate must also possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a software analystExperience working with Domain Driven Design (DDD) and facilitation practices, with specific experience in Event Storming. It is highly desirable if candidates have experience teaching others how to practice Event Storming.Ability to define boundaries of applications and domains (bounded context).Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to research and resolve issues independently while working across teams to acquire needed informationAbility to constructively challenge and question as well as actively listenExperience delivering enterprise-level applicationsExperience with teams delivering software projects using Agile, Scrum, or Kanban frameworks, including experience writing user stories and epics.Experience in documenting business and system requirements, processes, workflows, and test plansUnderstanding of software build processes and how it connects to CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment), including working knowledge of source version control, build/release tools, and methodologies.Knowledge about API s & Web services technologyKnowledge in Microsoft Azure and/or other cloud technologiesExperience in Azure DevOps, JIRA or similar toolsStrong knowledge of SQL or data query toolsStrong knowledge of monitoring tools (Splunk, AI, Dynatrace, etc.)Note: The safety of our associates, both current and future, is GEICO's highest priority.
