Job Description SummaryThe Senior Global Marketing Manager, Blood Culture & TB, will be accountable for the achievement of key marketing functional goals for a flagship portfolio; they will lead the development, and drive the execution of, marketing plans and key initiatives. This associate will work closely with other members of the Global Microbiology platform team and the regions to ensure success of global and regional strategic and financial performance. BD is looking for a strong, dynamic marketer with a track record of driving growth on legacy platforms, as well as preparing the market for future innovations. Responsibilities Deploy marketing standard methodologies for segmentation, targeting, and positioning to acquire and retain customers; define and deploy globally differentiated value offers and go-to market strategies.Collect market intelligence by analyzing industry, public policy, and social trends to identify new market requirements, customer attitudes, demands, behaviors, and unmet customer needs.Cultivate and maintain a clear understanding of customer needs globally; identify and evaluate new product development and/or portfolio expansion opportunities.Assess the global competitive landscape, supervise competitive activity and dynamics through targeted market research, and assess gaps between BD and competitor products to advise marketing and business development strategies, as applicable.Be responsible for global marketing plans for assigned platforms to ensure the achievement of financial/budget expectations and portfolio strategies, including market sensing, market development and marketing mix. Build and execute the tactical plan, to ensure product positioning and messaging are communicated successfully and implemented consistently in all regions.Work with regional teams to align global platform plans in each region, and define and supervise regional implementation/rollout plans. Collaborate with regions to develop effective marketing/sales materials.Coordinate the development of financial models to support business cases for all stages of the product development process, and to evaluate new business development opportunities.Establish and deploy global pricing guidelines and corridors to regional counterparts; ensure consistent implementation of pricing practices worldwide.Support the launch of new products, including management of the cross-functional implementation of the launch plan.Champion brand strategy within the organization.Work closely with Healthcare Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) team to develop models and programs that will support and drive market adoption.Support the Global Product Development System (GPDS) process as a core team member (CTM).Establish and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external partners, including regional marketing counterparts.Partner and collaborate with regional marketing leaders, upstream marketing, R, Clinical and Scientific Affairs, Business Development and other functions to ensure appropriate inputs into portfolio and marketing strategy.Ensure compliance with BD policies, procedures, and practices.QualificationsTypically requires a BS in a Life Sciences field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA highly preferred.Minimum of 7 years of commercial experience, preferably in a biotechnology or life sciences industry. Experience in Microbiology and/or Infectious Diseases is ideal. Commercial experience may include marketing, sales, sales training, business development or other related function.Minimum of 5 years in product and/or market management. Consistent track record in identifying market opportunities, market segmentation, targeted marketing, competitive analysis, pricing strategy and go-to-market models and strategies.General knowledge of the Life Sciences market as well as sales, operations, and marketing functions is required. Scientific and technical knowledge with the ability to understand and translate technical capabilities into benefits is a key skillset.Results-oriented, with proven ability to multi-task; capable of leading the completion of multiple competing projects.Job Specific Requirements: 20-25% travel Click on Apply if this sounds like you!
