The Project Server Administrator is a member of a larger team of project managers supporting modernization and engineering efforts for our DoD customers. Will assist and may lead the management of Project Server initiatives as requested by the client. Will work with Senior Project Managers to develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance the capabilities of the system. Expected to think creatively to solve client problems and streamline business processes in the areas of project, portfolio, risk and issue, and resource management within the organization. The ideal candidate will provide end-to-end Project Server administration for our DoD customer engineering projects. He/she use the DoD customer current processes, standard operating procedures and tools as defined in the DoD customers operating guidelines and framework. Will also be required to develop new processes, create process documentation, provide training, and basic administration activities such as creating new projects and maintaining the enterprise resource pool.Duties include the following:Provide Project Server/PWA and SharePoint administrationManage enterprise data, workflow and Project Detail Pages, time and task management settings, security, operational policies, queue and database administration of the Project Server environment.Extend the out-of-box capabilities of Project Server 2013 and Project OnlineConfigure custom schedule templates, SharePoint sites, workflows, lists, librariesProvide guidance on the rollout of new Project Server features, develop solutions, and train usersSetup permissions (including users, groups, and categories) and manage the enterprise resource poolProvide schedule training to Senior Project Managers and implement best practice scheduling standardsPerform daily and monthly Quality Assurance activities to ensure Project Managers are satisfying contractual requirements and meeting metric targetsDevelop SOPs, process documents, and training materials to meet client needsGather SharePoint workflow requirements; design, develop, test and implement solutionsWork with appropriate leads to develop a comprehensive resource management process that is integrated with Project ServerDevelop resource utilization reports using Power BI to assist with resource management and resource levelingDevelop dashboards that use Power BI functionality and designed to visual best practicesTroubleshoot environment/user issues and work with appropriate teams to resolve technical issuesBrief leadership and customers on the status of team projects and initiativesPosition Requirements/Qualifications: Active Secret Clearance2+ years of SharePoint administration experienceBA/BS or equivalent years of experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office 365 product offerings; specifically Project Online, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.Experience working in PMOsFamiliarity with working in organizations setting up CMMI and ISO standardsUnderstanding of Software Engineering and System Development Life CycleUnderstanding of Agile methodologyExperience administering Project Server technology and managing large portfolios and resource pools - desiredExcellent communication skillsDesired Experience PMP Certification - desiredDoD experience We are GDIT.
