We encourage you to read this entire vacancy announcement prior to submitting your application.As a Supervisory Constituent Relations Specialist, GS-0301-15 , you will be responsible for:- Coordinate and guide the team members working and carrying out the Constituent Relations functions as the lead liaison group with outside stakeholder groups and organizations for the US Department of Education and manages the appropriate administrative functions for that office including budget development, personnel support service and management and strategic planning.- Coordinate and manage the outreach effort for the Department by serving as a coordinator of the Department's ambassadors to constituent groups and organizations and individual stakeholders and the Teaching Ambassador Fellows. Work directly with the Deputy Assistant Secretary, Assistant Secretary, and other Senior Officers responsible for the development and implementation of each initiative in order to plan and implement an appropriate outreach strategy.- Serve as a key member of all core teams, steering committees and selected working groups that develop and implement new education and related policy initiatives such as rigorous coursework in high school to prepare for college; improved science, math and technology education; elementary and secondary education; services for students with disabilities; reading; and family involvement.- Advise the Deputy Assistant Secretary and the Assistant Secretary on policy issues, and coordinates and conducts policy analyses for the Office on appropriate and salient issues. Experience in advising senior officials on policy analysis and coordinating policy analysis on appropriate issues.2. Experience in managing outreach efforts for a large organization such as a government or private entity.3. Experience in coordinating and leading staff in carrying out constituent relations work.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs).
