This position is based primarily out of a US Government facility in Alexandria, VA.Primary responsibilities include requirements determination, software development, application fielding and maintenance, security compliance, user training including development of training materials, and oversight of the application's use by the client. Additional duties may include support to project management and integration of the system with other client operations.Typical work assignments include:Coordinate with stakeholders to define and document requirements,Lead software design and implementation,Coordinate cybersecurity performance with supporting government agencies,Create and deliver user training for new users and for new features,Monitor application performanceSupport annual system accreditation for operation on the Government network Support monthly performance reportingThe successful candidate will have the ability to define and assess the optimal approach to application software development for periodic application updates and be proficient in a variety of programming languages, software engineering practices, and design methodologies with the ability to learn and utilize new material quickly. The candidate must also possess strong communication skills with the capability to interact with a multi-faceted team, including federal clients and vendors. Travel up to ~5% time may be required.THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIREDAbility to obtain a Secret Security ClearanceBS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalentFour years of experience working as a software application developerExperience applying programing languages especially C#, Java, JavaScript, and SQLAbility to address cybersecurity issues identified in Government periodic reviewsExperience gathering, defining, and prioritizing application requirementsAbility to provide and implement solutions for high-level anomalies/bugs, including but not limited to software, servers, linked applications, hardware, and equipmentExperience executing software test plansExperience developing or updating training materialsMust be US CitizenTHE FOLLOWING IS DESIREDActive Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearanceMaster's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer ScienceExperience in Project ManagementExperience responding to cybersecurity requirements as outlined in Government standards and in periodic Government cyber security scansLEGAL DISCLAIMERThe above statements are intended to describe the nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
