DescriptionAlethix LLC is looking for a hands-on Sr. Tableau Administrator to join our growing team!Serve as a primary point of contact for Production Support issue resolution. Define or guide the definition of technical architecture to meet business requirements in infrastructure and applications products implementations. Provide infrastructure sizing, including hardware and software requirements. Plan, design and execute performance tests of the platform. Analyze, troubleshoot and / or tune product performance or deployment issues when required, either during implementations or post go-live. Develop and document technical architecture, system design, performance test results and other technical aspects of the implementation. Define or assist with best practices during implementation and integration of Tableau PlatformResponsibilities:Support multi environment Tableau infrastructure including security, troubleshooting and general system maintenanceTo automate administrative tasks like Backups/restore, schedules, user group creation using Python and Restful APICreating administrative dashboards and reports for tracking server and resource utilization.Troubleshooting performance issues and resolving them with utmost priority in production environment.System Admin (includes New site creation, Server maintenance, upgrades, patches, and Schedule control.Working with Windows Servers & networking technologies, Windows Active Directory, SAML for security architecture and IIS for Web Servers, Storage devices like NAS, SANChange management including software, hardware upgrades, patches.Platform monitoring, availability and performance management, and service reporting (KPI)Incident management, showstopper resolution, root cause analysis.Backup and recoveryUsage monitoring, technical policies set up and controls, admin best practices, technical auditsAssist in identifying and migrating data sources to tableau serverWork with TDA BO admins in trouble shooting issues, if any during upgrade activitiesDocument best practices in 4.2 version for Admins & DevelopersGeneral Admin / Maintenance tasks assistance required.Location: Washington DC Metro Area (Suitland, MD)Must Haves:Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Tableau administration, database configuration, installation, and administrationBachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent.Must be able to attain a Public Trust ClearanceAWS Cloud ExperienceTableau Server Certified ProfessionalKnowledge of how to organize and use data - data processesUnderstand basic processes of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL)Understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL)Knowledge of coding and data visualizationAbility to do troubleshootingExcellent communication (both written and verbal) and critical thinking skillsGood organizational skills and detail-orientedReliable Access to InternetNice to Have:USCB experience or working in the federal sectorActive US Census Bureau Public Trust ClearanceWe are driven by our commitment to our clients and to our employees.
