Energize your career at Exelon!PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOBThis position will be a part of a focused group contributing to Exelon's enterprise-wide technology evolution. You will be part of the team building the foundation for the continuous development and improvement of the internal and external customers experiences. This is an Individual Contributor role that will provide an opportunity to lead and mentor in various project efforts. This role is highly focused on various customer testing platforms, with a concentration on PHI's Customer Information and Meter Data Management Applications. You will perform activities related to all aspects of customer system testing through the analysis of high-quality solutions, products and processes. Additional work around documentation, reporting and requirements gathering and documenting practices and methodologies will be required.PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - A team player who puts the success of the team first- Analyze requirements for validity and feasibility- Create and execute test plans- Execute all levels of testing(System Integration, UAT, Operational Readiness and Regression.) - Assist with our testing teams' transition into automation testing- Perform database testing and querying- Detect, log and retest software defects and inconsistencies - Identify test data across the environments - Work with other team members to determine how to achieve team goals through a clear understanding of business needs and expected outcomes- Work with IT project groups and associated system integrators to deliver projects of medium to high complexity. - Enhance, maintain or support existing products and processes to meet team goals and metrics- Maintain current business knowledge/acumen, including application of technology solutions to deliver business results.- Identify and implement continuous improvements associated with the platform to support effortless customer experiences- Develop and maintain technical capabilities within supporting discipline or function (including best practices)- Review estimates of specific solutions to ensure time, cost and design meets the needs of the business.- Participates in strategic product planning meetings for insight on risk, cost vs. benefit, impact - Operate utilizing standard processes as defined within the Management Model- Perform other duties and tasks as assignedQualifications POSITION SPECIFICATIONSMinimum:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and at least 3 years' experience in area of technical specialty; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.- Appropriate technical skills. - Strong knowledge of business practices and processes in area of specialty- Experience working on IT projects or sub-teams and knowledge of IT project management.- Strong judgment and excellent analytical ability.- Strong communications skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of IT and business management and with vendors.- Ability to work with remote team members and/or stakeholdersPreferred:- Knowledge of business practices and processes in SAP or ITRON MDM.- Strong knowledge of corporate testing tools and overall testing in a matrixed environment - Familiarity with databases, SQL Developer, HP's PPM/EDMs/PCRs, HP's ALM.- Strong problem solving and analysis ability.- Utilize understanding of customer's business needs to determine requirements.- Previous Utility experienceDISCLAIMERThe preceding position description is intended to provide the general nature and level of work to be performed by employees within this classification.
