General Ledger Prepare monthly and year-end journal entriesPrepare monthly bank reconciliations and make adjusting entries as necessaryMonitor and reconcile Intercompany accountsPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all relevant accountsMaintain report formats and create new reports as necessaryBillingPrepare reports to submit to agencies for reimbursement for servicesTake corrective actions as necessary to ensure complete reimbursementMaintain appropriate accounts receivable sub-ledgerFinancial ReportingReview account balances for reasonableness and accuracyPrepare monthly financial reports and financial statements Compile, analyze and report monthly financial results and budget variancesResearch deviations from planned expenditures and making necessary corrections and or recommendations. Assist with the annual audit including the preparation of audit work papersFixed AssetsMaintain fixed asset sub-ledgersPost depreciation monthlyMonitor CIP and capitalize assets as appropriateReconcile fixed assets monthlyWork to maintain the financial stability, strength and liquidity of the organization and other tasks and special projects as assigned.QualificationsKnowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP/GAAS) and auditing practicesComputer literate exhibiting proficiency in Microsoft Office, Sage Intacct (preferred), Paycom (preferred), and other relevant software products.Knowledge of Internal ControlsKnowledge of not-for-profit organizations and practicesGood interpersonal skills, a team player mentality, and demonstrate personal initiative to complete the work of the team as a wholeExcellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skillsHigh reliability and propensity to meet work schedule consistentlyThe ability to anticipate organizational needs and to address them
