Summary You will serve as a LOGISTIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the NAVAL NUCLEAR PROPULSION PROGRAM; under the NUCLEAR PROPULSION DIRECTORATE of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will ensure timely shipment and delivery of reactor plant components and equipment to shipyards, ships and other activities engaged in maintenance and modernization of naval reactor plants. You will ensure prompt identification and timely resolution of potential problems with component deliveries and required delivery dates. You will deal frequently with senior officials geographically dispersed supply locations, prime contractors, shipyard commanders, senior Program officials and other Government agency officials. You will provide program headquarters direction and guidance to meet inventory accuracy requirements. You will oversee the development of management reports for senior management on the status of components under manufacture, awaiting inspection, under repair, and in storage. You will orchestrate develop, implement, and controlled deployed submarine tender "Tender Load Lists" of NAVSEA-managed spare reactor plant component and equipment inventories stocked on tenders to support nuclear-powered ships. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level (or pay band) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading the development of lifecycle logistical strategies or sustainment plans to support Fleet Readiness supportability and availability for nuclear reactor plant equipment or components.
