Description: Middle River Aerostructure Systems is a world-leading manufacturer of thrust reverses (the braking system on a jet engine), engine nacelle components and specialized aerostructures. It supplies and supports these products for engine makers, airplane manufacturers and aircraft operators. Role Summary/Purpose: The Quality Engineer will have full ownership of all Quality functions of a specific program within the Aero Structures Assembly operation. The individual will be responsible for ensuring all engineering and regulatory requirements are met to ensure customer satisfaction and safety. The Quality Engineer will be a part of a cross functional technical and operations team to achieve the business objectives. Essential Responsibilities: Act as owner and lead POC for all Quality Assurance aspects of a program Design and develop processes that produce conforming and compliant parts Be an active and supporting member of a cross functional team that supports operations Eliminate process variation and product defects through creative solutions Capture and analyze data to find trends. Use the data to drive decisions. Communicate and present to senior leadership Actively drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives using all available tools and technologies . Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing). Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Quality Desired Characteristics: Aerospace manufacturing experience Quality experience, including knowledge of ISO9000 or AS9100 Positive attitude and leadership characteristics Can work in a fast-paced environment and multitask Able to work both individually and as part of a team Experience with CATIA, or another 3D modeling software Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools Work across diverse backgrounds and education levels Working experience with RCCA tools, 3 x 5 why or 8D Working experience with APQP/PPAP Risk elimination tools ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT: This role is restricted to US persons (ie, US citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 USC 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology.
