If so, you may want to keep reading Summary/Objective This position is responsible for the core accounting functions of the company. Those responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparation of financial reports and packages, development and maintenance of budgets, coordination of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, coordination with external auditors, and assisting the CFO with strategic planning, analysis, and forecasting. Essential Functions Champion The InstallNET Way Be a Mentor & Trainer - Everyone at InstallNET is responsible, both formally and informally, for the mentorship, growth, development, and training of fellow team members across the company Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results and developing others Create an environment with a focus of both internal controls (taking into account segregation of duties) as well as external controls, whereby the focus needs to be on constant improvement Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential Your day to day Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommending changes Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation Prepare and/or review accounting related entries to various registers, journals and logs Support timely monthly and year-end closings, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of all general ledger accounts Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flow, budget, and other reports as needed Coordinate annual external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities to optimize cashflow Perform semi-monthly payroll and related tax reporting Assist CFO with analyses, forecasting, and other strategic activities PM20 . Requirements: Required Competencies Accounting Principles Tech & System Savvy Problem-Solver Critical Thinker Eager to Learn Team Player Leadership Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or similar field Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 7+years' progressive experience managerial accounting or related field Proficient in core Microsoft Suite, Advanced proficiency with Excel Proficient with business accounting software (Sage 100 a plus) Strong written and oral communication skills Intimate knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures Preferred Qualifications/ Certifications: Public Accounting experience Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or MBA Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles in the US) Proficient with PowerBI Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
