Adventist HealthCare (AHC) welcomes applications for a Philanthropy Program Manager, Major Gifts. This is a unique opportunity to join a committed team with aspirational goals. In this position you will make a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of our community and caregivers at Shady Grove Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role or transferrable skills and a passion for building mutually beneficial relationships.

The Program Manager will be responsible for growing philanthropic revenue from individuals, corporations and foundations. This will be achieved by successfully moving prospects through the donor cycle: identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding relationships for long term engagement and impact.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build relationships with key decision makers leading to philanthropic
investments.
• Achieve monthly and annual activity metrics for prospect contacts and funds
raised, securing five and six figure gifts.Develop and present funding requests
based on needs of the hospital and interests of prospects.
• Document activity and key donor relationship data in Raisers Edge (CRM)
• Collaborate with members of the philanthropy team and colleagues across
AHC.
• Create and execute personalized stewardship plans for major donors.
• Participate in long range planning to meet ambitious goals for program
growth.
• Convey goals and objectives in a clear and compelling manner; listen
effectively and clarify information as needed; interpret verbal and non-verbal
messages that others communicate to respond appropriately; produce clear
status reports; and communicate tactfully and candidly.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's or Associate's with 5 years relevant experience
5 years of experience in healthcare philanthropy operations

Those testing positive are given the opportunity to re-apply in 90 days, if they can truthfully attest that they have not used any nicotine products in the past ninety (90) days and successfully pass follow-up testing.
