Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Behavioral Health Therapist for our Acute Needs Assessment Department.

As a Behavioral Health Therapist you will:
•Evaluate and assess patients with behavioral health emergencies
•Answer the Needs Assessment phone line, verify insurance, intake appointments, and provide resources to callers
•Facilitate hospital to hospital transfers and obtain pre-authorizations and initial authorizations.

Qualifications Include:
•Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
•Master's and Graduate level licensure may be considered
•Experience with conducting risk assessments
•Firm understanding of diagnostic formulation
•Excellent customer service; verbal and written communication skills
•Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to display a caring demeanor •Knowledge of patient confidentially, rights and laws pertaining to behavioral health
•Ability to deal with crisis, and potentially combative patients while maintaining personal and emotional equilibrium

Work Schedule:
