Job Announcement

Serves as a member of the Infrastructure Team in the Department of Information Technology supporting ServiceNow and ServiceNow associated applications. Primarily responsible for administering the ServiceNow tool for the enterprise, including securing and maintaining stability of the Production and supplemental environments. Develop user interfaces and facilitates development of system workflows. Ensures software meets specifications, functions properly, participates and vendor resources to identify, diagnose, and resolve system issues. Coordinates resources to determine an effective process for analyzing system resource consumption to ensure effective system utilization. Possess the ability to translate customer requirements into technology solutions. Provides instruction and guidance to other team members. Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the county's ServiceNow applications. Performs tasks with a limited amount of supervision. Maintains task priorities and adjusts them as needed.

Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Possession of an associate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field; plus two years network and/or telecommunications experience; or a bachelor's degree in such fields.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least five years of hands-on experience in the administration, evaluation, testing, and implementation of ServiceNow.
  • Three or more years of combined knowledge and experience in technology organization design, technology process design, and service management solutions.
  • Experience diagnosing system issues and evaluating and delivering solutions.
  • Experience defining, developing, testing, and deploying features supporting the single ticketing program.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects through the planning, implementation and maintenance of County Infrastructure solutions.
  • Basic technical skills in ServiceNow configuration, or the ability and desire to learn.
  • Possess the ability to create clear, concise and prompt communications.
  • Experience performing business analysis for ServiceNow related projects efforts.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, minimum Foundation level, ideally higher.
  • Excellent customer service skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess the ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
