Responsibilities

The incumbent of this position will gain advanced experience while performing the following developmental tasks:
  • Support various teams and services within FASS with projects, presentations, and researching regulations.
  • Participate in formal and on-the-job training.
  • Evaluate trends and recommend resources, equipment, or facilities to support various projects and programs.
  • Gather and analyze data to assess program compliance.
  • Develop plans, goals, and objectives for long-term planning and implementation.
  • Prepare special and recurring Department reports.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of Management and Program Analyst (GS-0343-5), you must meet the eligibility and minimum qualification requirements listed below, and complete an assessment test.

ELIGIBILITY: You must have graduated within the past two years (6 years for certain veterans) from a qualifying educational institution or certificate program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: For the GS-5 grade-level,
You must posses a four-year course of study in any field leading to a Bachelor's degree; or
You must possess a Bachelor's degree; or
You must have at least years of progressively responsible experience, one year of which demonstrates my ability to: Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; Plan and organize work; and Communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Education

How You Will Be Evaluated

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

Based on your responses to the eligibility and minimum qualifications questions, the system will pre-determine whether you are basically qualified for the position. If you are found basically qualified for this job, you will receive an additional e-mail informing you to complete the USA Hire assessment test. You will have 48 hours from the closing date 05/04/2021 to complete the assessment.

Once you complete the assessment, a review of your resume and supporting documentation will be conducted to confirm your eligibility for Federal employment and whether you are qualified for this particular position. If confirmed, you will then be placed in one of three categories: Best Qualified, Highly Qualified, or Qualified. Within these categories, applicants eligible for Veterans' Preference will receive selection priority over non-veteran preference eligibles.
