Senior Research & Policy Analyst: Conduct qualitative & quantitative research & analysis of federal & state legislation, regs, & policy. Create publishable content in response to sociopolitical issues & trends. Work w/ principals to build new business by conducting research for proposals to prospective clients. Provide project-specific mgmt of interns. Analyze electoral data. Monitor social media impressions & trends to advise clients on public attention given to topics of importance w/ goal of informing client social media strategy. Reqs: Bachelor's degree in history, political sci, communications, or related field. Min 3 mos of relevant legislative or policy exp, incl complete end-to-end policy & political research, writing, & document production/distribution/publication. Knowledge of principles of communications & politics, incl media monitoring, direct exp w/ policy dynamics within & among political parties, & interaction between policy, politics, & public affairs. Knowledge of workings of Congress & federal agencies. Exp. Analyzing qualitative data to produce streamlined reports. Exp. working in a bipartisan environment. Familiarity w/ Microsoft Office Suite, including use of forms, functions, & data visualization tools in Excel. Ability to conduct real-time monitoring & analysis of events & campaigns.
