Job Announcement

Functions as a unified enterprise communications analyst responsible for providing support to a group of assigned agencies in the areas of elevated end user support levels, agency contact centers, call recording functions to include Interactive Voice Response (IVR). Works with agency representatives in analysis and documentation of technical business processes and develops appropriate solutions that meets customer's requirements. Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots Video Teleconferencing Communications (VTC) solutions. Performs expert consultation relating to small to mid-sized space planning and renovation efforts. Performs field inspections, cut overs, installations, troubleshoots site-level issues, and replaces defective equipment, as necessary. Works with service providers in submitting requests for new service and disconnect orders. Schedules and facilitates installation and removal of infrastructure cabling in newly occupied/abandoned or renovated spaces. Serves as part of a team in the Enterprise Unified Communications Branch to support telephony requirements and response to customer agencies' needs 24 x 7. Performs other duties as assigned. Works under general supervision of the Enterprise Unified Communications Program Manager.

Employment Standards

Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Possession of an associate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field; plus three years of network and/or telecommunications experience; or a bachelor's degree in such fields; plus one year of experience in network or telecommunications system design, analysis, installation, and troubleshooting.

Valid driver's license.

The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check and driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.

  1. At least five years of hands-on experience with toning and testing of voice and data cabling.
  2. At least five years hands-on experience with 110 and 66 block punch down and cross connecting.
  3. Knowledge of PBX functionalities and Voice/Telephony components
  4. General understanding of call routing, trunking, and dial plans.
  5. General knowledge of creating and modifying VDN and Vectors.
  6. General knowledge of Contact Center functionality and procedures.
  7. General knowledge of IVR and call recording applications.
  8. Knowledge of converged technology protocols.
  9. Basic understanding of H.323, VoIP and SIP protocols.
  10. Understanding of DHCP, VLAN, and communications desktop application configuration and troubleshooting.
  11. Understanding of PC installed application around a voice platform to included Microsoft Teams, and Avaya systems.
  12. Understanding of Audiocodes SBC and One Voice Operations Center (OVOC) a voice network management solution that combines management of voice network devices and quality of experience monitoring into a single, intuitive web-based application.

Work is generally performed in a normal office environment, however there will be projects that require extend site visits to agency locations, project and/or construction sites. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.; be able to stand, bend, be able to correctly discern full spectrum of colors, use power and hand tools.
