Monsignor Slade Catholic School, located in Glen Burnie, MD, has an opening for a full-time, ten-month, middle school religion teacher. The teacher will be responsible for teaching religion to middle school students in grades 6-8. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborates with other members of the academic team in planning and implementing the religion curriculumServes as Religion Chair and helps plan Masses, Prayer Services, etc.Attends faculty, curriculum and team meetings (held before the opening of school and throughout the school year), and will attend professional days and workshopsMaintains an attractive, organized, and engaged learning environmentAttends school events such as Meet and Greet, Back-to-School Nights, Open Houses, and Eighth Grade GraduationAssessment and grading including use of Power SchoolClassroom management and all duties assigned to this teacherJOB REQUIREMENTS:Active practicing Roman Catholic fully able to participate in Parish LifeMust maintain Religion certification as outlined for all teachers of religionKnowledgeable in technology use and integrationExcellent oral and written communication skillsSuperb interpersonal skillsExcellent time management skillsKnowledge of 21st century learning, principles theory and practice
