About the Center: The Gray Center is one of the nation's leading law-school programs for academic research and debate on modern issues of administrative law and regulatory policy. Each year it organizes many research roundtables, public policy conferences, and other events and webinars.

About the Position: The Center's Director of Operations will be involved in all aspects of the Center's operations-from its events, to its research programs, to its podcasts and other communications. The Director of Operations will serve as the central coordinator and collaborator for all aspects of the Center's operations, and will work with the Director to schedule and prioritize the Center's various initiatives.

This position requires expert knowledge of administrative law and regulatory policy, an eagerness to participate in the Center's research activities, and above all an ability to maintain significant responsibility for the Center's day-to-day operations, under the Director's oversight.

Responsibilities: * Oversee organization of Center events, including roundtables and conferences; * Coordinate the various parts of the Center's programs: communications, event planning, fiscal oversight, student programs; * Reach out to possible participants in Gray Center programs; * Speak at Center conferences, roundtables, and podcasts; * Write on issues of administrative law and policy for the Center's communications and reports; * Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; * Excellent organizational skills, with the proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities effectively; * Substantial management expertise; * Collegial, team-first approach; * Self-starter, highly motivated and detail-oriented; * Clear and confident communicator; * Strong interest in the Center's academic mission; * Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when events are scheduled accordingly.

Preferred Qualifications: * Advanced degree: J.D. or Master's in a relevant field; * Experience with Microsoft Office, including Teams.
