Responsibilities

Sells a variety of merchandise items such as prepackaged snacks, candy and beverages to include alcoholic beverages. Receives cash in payment for merchandise and gives change as required. Maintains record of sales. Responsible for stocking Beverage Cart with appropriate stock levels. At the end of each tour of duty, turns over cash and supporting documents as instructed. Conducts daily inventories. May be required to keep record of traffic during the day, identify slow or fast moving items and trends in customer comments or complaints. May prepare requisitions for items sold. Secures stock at the end of the tour of duty. Duties are performed mainly outside and incumbent is responsible for safely operating a motorized beverage cart/golf cart in the normal course of duties. May be required to perform other duties in the Eaglewood Golf Course Snack Bar such as ringing up food, beverages and merchandise by individual item; totaling sales; processing credit card sales; receiving money; and making change. May perform related food service duties such as assisting in setting up the serving line, replenishing beverage dispensers, ensuring kitchen staff is advised when buffet line needs replenishment. Responsible for ensuring all assigned areas are maintained in a clean and orderly manner. Provides positive customer service. Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate, or complete a Food Handler's training.
  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • Position requires possession of a valid motor vehicle license.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Customer service experience and basic cash handling experience is desirable but not required. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Ability to resolve common arithmetical problems and make change when receiving payments from customer. Must have ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must have a valid state drivers' license. Must be able to operate a golf cart type vehicle. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate, and satisfactorily complete required criminal background checks. Must be at least 18 years of age.
