Responsibilities

  • Apply a wide range of qualitative and quantitative process and performance improvement methods to assess, analyze and improve partner organizations? efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare reports or presentations that highlight the program's impact on individual and organizational performance.
  • Regularly communicate status of assignments, projects, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, challenges, and deadlines for completion.
  • Lead training and project-based learning initiatives to improve mission critical processes and performance for internal or external organizations.
  • Select and apply appropriate problem-solving and process improvement methods and techniques and make recommendations on viability of potential solutions for customer organizations.
  • Assist the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution for customer organizations.

Qualifications

For the GS-13: You must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service that includes ALL of the following: 1) Designing or co-delivering formal continuous process improvement training programs and project-based learning initiatives to customers by utilizing methodologies, tools, and techniques such as Lean Management; Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, Business Process Re-engineering, Kaizen, or Design for Six Sigma; 2) Drafting training and project budgets, timelines, resource needs and scope to ensure initiatives meet customer requirements; 3) Leading process improvement training and project teams for customer agencies in order to solve complex problems and improve mission critical processes and 4) Evaluating education and training program effectiveness to measure the program's impact on performance.

Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS13 level.
