Find your future with us! The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software Engineer to join the Virtual Warfare Center (VWC) group located in Arlington, VA . In the VWC, you will be a part of a core team of software developers working across multiple sites in the US to enhance several simulation applications and operator interfaces. The selected candidate?s primary responsibility will be supporting the organization as a Software Engineer focusing on Customer Engagement. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Work with Executive and Program Leadership to technically execute our Modeling and Simulation software environment, allowing them to demonstrate and communicate our capabilities Assist our Modeling and Simulation Experiment Leads to transition experiments to engagements Work with Security, IT, and the various other stakeholders to ensure our software environment is maintained Security Clearance Requirements: This position requires an active Secret US Security Clearance. (A US Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) Required Qualifications: Experience with C++ Experience with Cross Platform Development (Windows/Linux) Experience with version control systems such as Git Experience working autonomously in closed areas with little to no supervision Experience working with distributed teams CMake Agile SDLC methodology Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with OITL experimentation Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to adapt and respond quickly to issues and events. Ability to track and manage issues with a focus on swift resolution. Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
