The Boeing Company?s Maritime Undersea Organization is seeking highly motivated Senior Software Engineers to support a diverse portfolio of product and technologies in either Herndon, VA or Huntington Beach, CA . The family of products we support represent a wide variety of mission critical platforms and systems delivered to our government and commercial customers. Successful candidates should be experienced software engineers with the desire to work in a dynamic work environment and the ability to perform in technical leadership roles. Position Responsibilities: Provides technical leadership for software projects Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Ability to obtain US Security clearance (Post-Start). Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Ability to obtain US Security clearance (Post-Start) Demonstrated experience across software development life cycle Ability to lead technical team Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience in one or more of the following languages: C++, C#, Java, JavaScript Experience in object oriented coding Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience) In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
