Participants are able to explore a variety of in-person and virtual courses to help hone techniques and perform at peak level. Since 2007, 15,000 radiologists from all 50 states and 58 countries have attended programming at the Education Center. To date, there have been 450+ classes offered (appr. 55 classes annually). In-person courses offer practicing radiologists the chance to refine their imaging techniques through an immersive three-day training taught by world-class radiologists at a 1:10 faculty to participant ratio. Each course comprises faculty lectures, one-on-one guidance, and intensive, self-paced case review in a "work simulator" atmosphere. Attendees will have the opportunity to work at their own workstation, review hundreds of cases, learn how to structure reports to meet quality standards and gain access to vast datasets and reports. Position Summary Working with our esteemed members and staff, the Senior Director, Education Center will provide overall oversight, strategic direction, and management of the Education Center. As a senior member of the ACR team, this role will have the opportunity to direct a highly effective and engaging team, manage projects, and oversee offerings and activities in the Education Center. The qualified candidate will have excellent forward-facing communication skills and the gift of foresight to stay progressive and anticipatory of trends in the medical learning environment. This role will have a thoughtful and strategic approach in managing production and the ability to bring success on all deliverables. The Senior Director will have a direct impact on the Education Center's goals and objectives, applying sound judgment to potentially complex situations. The Senior Director will develop extensive cross-functional working relationships with marketing, technology, and other disciplines and departments. This leader will research trends, emerging issues, best practices, and developments by other groups to identify priorities and domestic and international growth opportunities. Chief among the responsibilities of the Senior Director is the relationship management component. It is vital for the Senior Director to create a holistic faculty and learner experience and ensure that members and other attendees have positive and impactful experiences. Duties and Responsibilities: Support ACR's vision, values, and operating principles Develop, review, and update Education Center policies and procedures Develop and monitor Education Center budget Develop and deliver Education Center programming Work with current Course Directors and the Ed Center Advisory Committee as it relates to faculty identification and recruitment, course development and future trends Continue development of, and explore opportunities in, international outreach Work with faculty and the ACR e-learning technical team to refine course components and optimize both management and content delivery tools Work with ACR IT and vendors to coordinate optimal vendor support of courses and to optimize Education Center performance including facility-related and e-learning strategies Interact extensively with ACR internal departments Review and approve all marketing plans Coordinate registration processes Ensure course readiness and provide extensive onsite support to faculty, learners, and vendors to ensure all aspects of the Education Center experience are delivered to provide the highest quality of education/experience as possible Supervise, train, and develop departmental staff Develop and refine processes to improve efficiency and achievement of Center goals, objectives, and deliverables Lead with demonstrated integrity. Serve as a role model; especially encouraging collaboration, communication, and innovation across the organization, and maintaining a global mindset Provide regular, consistent guidance to supported and other staff, including timely completion of or participation in annual performance evaluations. Ability to serve as the face for the Center and as a concierge to ensure positive participant experience in a high touch interaction and engagement environment Progressive and knowledgeable of industry trends and needs by staying up to date on current best practices within the CME fields Team player with the ability to act as a liaison among the multiple ACR departments Conscious and inclusive of faculty and learner needs Innate ability to listen and apply learnings Ability to work with faculty on content areas to build and maintain credibility, trust, and respect Qualifications 10+ years of related experience educational program or Center management Demonstrated business, operational, and financial acumen Demonstrated record of progressive leadership roles in complex, non-profit organizations; particularly member organizations such as medical associations being highly preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills Possess strong leadership capabilities and innate ability to adapt, learn, and apply Demonstrated ability to manage high-quality educational programs Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Education Post-graduate degree in related field is required.
