Job DescriptionThe SageNet marketing team is a small-but-mighty group of creative marketing professionals. We are searching for a highly qualified marketing coordinator who possesses a combination of experience, enthusiasm, creativity and digital savvy. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented team player who possesses a solid understanding of marketing techniques, excellent organizational and outstanding communication skills. The marketing coordinator will handle numerous projects simultaneously and have experience working within digital marketing, social media, event planning and CMS platforms.Responsible for Project Management and coordination of all Marketing Projects. Reports to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), maintains department project lists and assists the VP of Marketing, Art Director and Events Manager. The marketing coordinator interfaces with Marketing Team and "internal customers" such as sales team and other department heads. Position based in Reston, Virginia office, but also interfaces with associates in other key locations and remote offices.This position is ideal for someone with 2-4 years' experience or would also consider a recent graduate who has majored in Marketing. Position will allow you to experience all facets of marketing and sales integration, as well as exposure to creative process of in-house Creative Team. Allows for career growth into preferred area.I: Essential Job Functions:Manage, coordinate, and facilitate multi-faceted marketing projects schedule"Point person" for all new Marketing Requests & proactively moves projects through each phase from review to final approvalMeet regularly with CMO, Marketing VP, Art Director and Events Manager to review, coordinate and prioritize projects and manage calendars/schedule meetings as requiredInterface effectively with internal and external customers such as vendors and suppliers, partners senior management, and other staff membersProofread and edit communications such as Press Releases, Sales Sheets, Blogs, Email Blasts, Proposals, etc.Make updates to Website(s) using WordPressCreate, schedule and distribute Email Blasts using Constant Contact (or similar email platform)Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success - such as Web Analytics and Open Reports from Email BlastsMaintain and improve company's Social Media presence via LinkedIn, Twitter & Facebook (with assistance from outside vendors and oversight by VP of Marketing)Maintain archives of all Marketing ProjectsAssist with Management of Partner Co-op Funds: upload files as necessary to Partner Portals, keep track of deadline requirements, etc.Assist Event Manager with Project Coordination of Events, as necessary. May include development and theming of special events and may require US-based travel.Assists Marketing & Sales with formatting/editing of RFP/RFI responses to Customers and ProspectsProactively further knowledge and education regularly through workshops, research, and seminars, and share best practices and marketing ideas and tactics with the teamAdditional duties as assignedII: Experience or Qualifications Required: Marketing Degree and/or 2-4 years' work experienceMust possess advanced skill level in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and ExcelKnowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing requiredExperience with Marketing tools such as Constant Contact and Salesforce helpful, but not requiredExperience with WordPress an extra plus!Understanding of Asana and Basecamp Project Management toolsExcellent writing, communication, and presentation skillsExceptional, innate organizational skills a mustAbility to balance many projects simultaneously, and prioritize accordinglyRequires highly effective written and verbal communications skillsPositive, friendly, helpful attitude requiredRequires ambition and drive to improve processes, while growing and learning"Go the extra mile" attitude a mustPreferred QualificationsExperience with Marketing tools such as Constant Contact (or similar email platform) and Salesforce helpful, but not requiredPast work experience as a marketing coordinator or similar roleFamiliarity with content management systems (CMS), marketing automation and customer relationship management (CRM) toolsWorking knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and WordPressExperience with A/B and multivariate experiments, and managing SEO/SEMExperience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search enginesIII: Education Required: Marketing (or related field) Bachelor's Degree Preferred Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
