The Senior Network Engineer brings specialized skills and focuses on technical aspects of vendor data center network architecture and operations. The Senior Network Engineer will work daily alongside engineering staff at site to become thoroughly familiar with unique processes and requirements relative to the DOD specific configurations and challenges. Engineers will assist in the overall performance, deployment, and maintenance of global data center network environment.A' Engineer will work alongside of fellow engineering team members to mentor, knowledge share, and develop new DCN solutions.Typical Resident Engineer activities include: Analyzing network configurationsAssisting with network inventory tracking and management to support the networkReviews PCAP data for network troubleshooting andA' optimizationTroubleshooting the network and supporting operationsDeveloping network and equipment operating proceduresEvaluating technical specifications for interoperabilityPerform Service benchmarkingAssisting in the ongoing definition of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the network and services.Design/implement/migrate new application delivery solutions and web technologiesCollaborate w/project manager and frameworksA' to coordinate/maintain scheduleKeep project stakeholders abreast of updates and issuesCultivate industry/solution provider certifications as neededPerform regularA' system maintenance in support of IAVA vulnerabilities/CCRI compliance/code upgradesA' Requirements:BS Degree and 5 years' experience OR equivalent combination of experience and educationActive TS/SCI with a current polygraph requiredIAT Level II Certification (Security+ or CCNA Security)Network experience with TCP/IP, PCAP, Layer 2/3 networking, SSL, HTTPFamiliarity with STE/STN and CCRI complianceAbility to communicate and collaborate in a team settingExperience working in cloud (private/hybrid) environments, especially AzureHours: 40hrs/wk/On-callPreferred Experience: Experience inA' designing/deploying/implementing web protections, proxy, and application delivery solutionsExperience supporting F5 and Bluecoat productsCWIP - IAT level II Compliance:Persons provide network environment (NE) and advance level compute environment (CE) support. Responsible for finding and fixing unprotected vulnerabilities and ensuring that remote access points are well secured. Focuses on threats and vulnerabilities and improving the security of systems. Demonstrates a mastery of the functions of the IAT Level I position. Monitors, tests and troubleshoots hardware and software IA problems pertaining to the network environment. Recommends and schedules IA related repairs to include performing IA related customer support functions such as installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, in response to customer requirements for the network environment (NE). Analyzes patterns of non-compliance and identifies vulnerabilities resulting from a departure from the implementation plan or that were not apparent during testing. Provides leadership and direction to IA operations personnel. Implement applicable patches including IAVAs, and IAVBs for their environment.
