Job Description The Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) provides Test & Evaluation (T) for various systems including Cross Domain Solutions. A Cross Domain Solution (CDS) is a form of controlled interface that provides the ability to manually and/or automatically access and/or transfer information between different security domains. A CDS is categorized as one of three types: Access, Transfer, or Multi-Level. Access solutions provide access to computing platforms, applications, or data residing on different security domains from a single device, which allows for visualization of information across multiple security domains from a single workstation. Transfer solutions facilitate the movement of data between interconnected networks or information systems operating in separate security domains. For example, transferring data between Non-classified Internet Protocol (IP) Router Network (NIPRNet) and Secret Internet Protocol (IP) Router Network (SIPRNet). Multi-Level solutions use security labels or data tags to store data at separate classification levels and allow access based on security domain and credentials. Multilevel systems that implement read-down and/or regrade operations are also implementing a transfer CDS function.
