Financial AnalystFairfax, VAIT-services firm working with the Federal Government is seeking a Financial Analyst of FP in the metro DC area. This position will report to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. The Financial Analyst will analyze past and present financial data of the Company and estimate future sales, revenues, and expenditures accordingly. This position will work closely with multiple teams and requires strong communication and analytical skills, as well as an understanding of the federal procurement process. The Financial Analyst will be working in a dynamic environment with career advancement opportunities. Job Descriptions* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual bottoms-up cost and revenue forecasts at a project and organizational level. * Compile reports and presentations for monthly and quarterly reviews with senior management * Serve as finance lead on pipeline management and reporting requirements of parent company. * Assess company performance and lead variance analysis for various stakeholders. * Support pricing initiatives and proposals for competitive, re-compete, and/or modifications to existing work* Implement and work with business intelligence tools and dashboard reports. * Work closely with finance, other indirect support teams, and program delivery teams. * Complete various special projects as assigned by finance leadership.Minimum Qualifications* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study.* 0-2 years of experience in Finance or AccountingOther Job Specific Skills* Prior experience in government contracting FP, corporate / public accounting, or program finance preferred.* Understanding of US GAAP, revenue recognition, and accrual accounting.* Knowledge and understanding of FAR, DCAA, and DCMA requirements.* Prior Costpoint, Cognos, and Salesforce experience a plus. * High proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.* Strong problem solving and leadership skills with the ability to achieve change and drive results. * Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment.* Ability to work well with others as well as independently with limited supervision.U.S. Citizenship Required?
