JOB SUMMARY The Director, Technology Operations & Infrastructure is a visionary leader who possesses significant technical infrastructure experience including cloud services and architectures, strong project management acumen, superior vendor management skills, and a customer-service-oriented approach to infrastructure operations. Participates in IT strategy planning activities, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of infrastructure technology and systems and best practices (eg, ITIL) as related to the needs of the business. The Director, Technology Operations & Infrastructure work closely with the Chief Technology Officer and other key business decision-makers in identifying and implementing cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the business. In this role you will be responsible for operational and service management processes to ensure that quality, efficiency, and productivity goals are achieved. The Director, Technology Operations & Infrastructure provides vision, leadership, and management for the IT services, including but not limited to infrastructure services, operations, desk side support, business application development, deployment and management, and cybersecurity. They direct a team of internal resources, vendors, and cloud services providers to design, develop, engineer, implement and operate systems, voice and video and data networks, web services and other critical technology platforms that support the Association to ensure we are maximizing performance and availability while minimizing downtime. They direct the performance and availability, with minimal downtime/disruption, of Cloud vendor and internally provided IT services, systems, and networks. Leading IT infrastructure team in a 24/7 production, high consumer-traffic web environment, including web hosting, voice and data networks, security, and information protection, with load balancing implementations and high-availability networks ensuring resiliency, DR, BCP, backup and recovery objectives are tested and met. Analyzes and predicts trends and develops long-range plan designed to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness of the enterprise's IT infrastructure. WHAT YOU'LL DO Direct the building, implementing, and support enterprise technologies and related services including Microsoft Enterprise Infrastructure, Virtualization, Networking, Datacenters, Desktop Engineering, Cloud Services, and exhibited experience migrating data centers to hosted cloud providers at an enterprise level. Through a mix of internal and external resources, manages the work of their functional area. Delivering consistent high-quality services with high customer satisfaction. Supervises and evaluates the performance of reporting personnel. Develops team and individual goals and ensures alignment with departmental and organizational initiatives. Continuously research, evaluate and incorporate management tools and techniques to set clear expectations, and to track and measure performance. Lead strategic and operational IT planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization. Consistently employ accepted standards and best practices of technology project management to successfully deliver all projects/work in your area with approved scope, on committed schedule, with high quality / limited rework, and under authorized budget. Continuously research, evaluate and incorporate appropriate industry best practices into your area with an ongoing focus on innovation and creativity. Plan, staff, train, coach, mentor, and direct employees within the IT infrastructure team. Recommend staffing levels and resources for the department. Continuously research, evaluate and incorporate key performance indicators into your area to report and track performance and to demonstrate continuous improvement. Define and measure IT services performance against service levels, using measurable KPIs. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ANA BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields is required. Minimum of twelve (12) years professional experience in IT Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years of demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity. Extensive experience in managing IT operations including supporting multidisciplinary teams of engineers. Exceptional organization and planning skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple initiatives of diverse scopes in a cross-functional environment. Demonstrated project management skills. Solid understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity and incident management. Strong understanding of the latest technologies related to IT systems.
