Summary

You will serve as a Program Specialist in the Systems Review Office (SRO) at Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) utilizing the full range of subject matter methods, principles, practices and evaluative methodologies when advising on and/or resolving a range of recurring or complex operational and strategic issues.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares final administrative and/or management reports.
  • Conducts studies and develops recommendations using the application of appropriate methodologies.
  • Coordinates administrative or management subject matter work which requires the application of the knowledge of administrative or management subject matter or program area.
  • Develops, implements, and/or maintains organizational records.
  • May lead and/or serve on teams as the subject matter specialist/representative or expert as appropriate.
  • Resolves a range of administrative and/or management subject matter problems that require the application of logical thinking in order to break down the problem into its component parts.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for employees within the work unit regarding administrative and/or management subject matter information, issues and/or resolution.

Qualifications

You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above.

To qualify for GS-09 level, you must have:
a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level includes providing administrative and logistics support to independent Life Cycle Review (LCR) program applying Agency- and Center- level guidelines and procedures; providing administrative support to convening review panels for LCRs; scheduling of LCR planning and briefing meetings; maintaining and reporting to management the LCR integrated schedule and status of products from independent LCRs; and experience with preparation, distribution and archival of products from Agency and Center level LCRs;
OR
b) Completed all requirements for a master's or equivalent graduate degree in an appropriate field;
OR
c) Completed 2 full academic years of progressively higher graduate education in an appropriate field; or LL.B or J.D, if related;
OR
d) Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b) and c) above.
