RealStreet has an assignment for a Construction Inspector in Washington, DC. This individual will support our client, one of the world's largest engineering, construction, technical and management firms. Job Responsibilities The Construction Inspector position is based in Washington, DC, and will be responsible for enforcing construction standards and code regulations while verifying structural integrity. Additional responsibilities of the Construction Inspector include: Inspecting work on the construction site and performing continuous surveillance of assigned construction activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards and specifications Preparing correspondence and maintaining official construction site records Conducting meetings to resolve problems on construction projects and briefing clients and management personnel Interpreting construction drawings and specifications on construction projects Job Requirements: Specific qualifications for the Construction Inspector role include: Associates in construction related field, Trade School or equivalent certification (waived for 10 years in a similar inspection role) 10 years minimum construction inspection experience USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Control Course (QCM) certified OSHA 30 hour certification required Experience with facades is required Knowledge of PROLOG is preferred Must be able to pass standard Federal background investigation Experience working on NAVFAC or Army Corps of Engineers projects is preferred Benefits RealStreet offers a comprehensive benefit package which includes: Paid Time Off Paid Holidays 401(k) Retirement Plan with generous company match Medical Insurance Plan which includes prescription coverage Vision Insurance Dental Insurance Life Insurance & Long-Term Disability Build a better construction career with RealStreet!Apply now.EOE M/F/D/V
