The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Boeing is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineering Technician (Level 3) for the opportunity to develop and deploy our newest products in Fairfax, Virginia. Our work centers develop the next generation of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) systems for the Defense, Intelligence Community and allied partners. These systems are deployed to aircraft, ships, submarines and ground mobile vehicles for purposes of intercepting and exploiting signals in the radio frequency environment. Position Responsibilities: Support engineering in developing requirements, trade studies, and analyses Participate in failure reporting and defining corrective actions Coordinate the build, assembly, check-out, test and troubleshooting of hardware Develop and supports implementation of calibration processes, tools and procedures Assist in preparation of technical documentation and reports for delivery to customers Support deployment, integration and testing on customer platforms and at customer sites, to include travel Collaborate with customer representatives and deploy mission payloads to manned and unmanned platforms Thrive in a dynamic environment while engaging with multiple development and integration teams This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A US Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). A TS/SCI security clearance is required post-start. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): More than 3 years of experience troubleshooting technical system issues More than 1 year of experience in the use of any of the following electronic test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers Experience working in an engineering (or similar) organization Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Associate's or Bachelor's degree Experience with hardware troubleshooting Experience writing, executing, and controlling system test plans and procedures Experience with radio frequency component analysis, design, production, or testing Written and verbal communication skills and experience building relationships with peers and customers Current TS/SCI US security clearance Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (eg Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (eg Bachelor + 1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
