About the Application Integration Engineer position:

In this position, you will be required to handle technical development, troubleshooting of integrations, and perhaps unfamiliar technologies. The ideal candidate must be able to understand the business urgency of requests and to work on several projects simultaneously. A familiarity with the nonprofit business model and interest in public policy is a benefit.


  • Salesforce configuration and development, including forms, workflows, reports and dashboards
  • Working closely with key stakeholder groups on process development and optimization
  • Assisting our communications departments with process automation and system integration projects
  • Working on design and UX development for internal- and external-facing applications and websites
  • Developing requirements and technical specifications
  • End user documentation and training
  • Performing data analysis and migration cleanup projects
  • Assisting managing projects


  • 1–3 years minimum Salesforce administrator experience and current Salesforce Advanced Administrator certification or higher
  • Experience with large-scale data migration and cleanup projects
  • Extensive experience developing reports and dashboards in Salesforce and other relational databases (Apsona and Power BI experience a plus)
  • Familiarity with Apex and VisualForce
  • Familiarity with both the Salesforce Classic and Lightning interfaces
  • Ability to identify process gaps and opportunities for process optimization and automation
  • Strong experience writing technical documentation, including detailed requirements for vendors
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with design or UX experience (PHP coding experience a plus)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Self-starter and collaborative team player
  • Superior written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with both technical and nontechnical individuals
  • Highly organized, service and detail oriented, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
