Summary

This position is located in the Department of Labor, Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), Office of Child Labor, Forced Labor, and Human Trafficking (OCFT). The Senior International Program Specialist is responsible for coordinating and providing guidance on close-outs and reporting requirements for international technical assistance programming; responding to information requests on technical assistance programming; and providing support for processing of human resource actions.

Major duties for this position include but are not limited to, the following:
  • Provides assistance and technical advice to clients and customers on Cooperative Agreements, Grants and Contracts.
  • Coordinates close-out of international technical cooperation grants and contracts.
  • Ensures that project files are complete and contain required documentation to prepare grants and contracts for closeout.
  • Coordinates office-wide technical and financial reports related to these projects/contracts and assists in coordinating evaluations and audits of the assigned projects/contracts.
  • Coordinates and administers program resources including tracking, monitoring, and preparing a variety of data, reports, correspondence, and other documents and materials.
  • Prepares and reviews reports, correspondence, charts, and other documents and materials relating to program(s) functions and other Office projects.
  • Serves as a key member of the OCFT senior planning and management group by making substantial contributions to overall program planning, policy, and internal and external coordination.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for assigned program(s) and develops guidance, recommends improvements, and establishes effective organization and work procedures.
  • Actively contributes to the direction, coordination, and implementation of human resources strategies to ensure adequate staffing of OCFT.

Qualifications

Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-13, in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as experience coordinating, tracking, and providing guidance on close-out processes and reporting requirements for international technical assistance and cooperation programming AND responding to information and data request international technical assistance and cooperation programming AND experience providing support for the processing of human resource-related actions.
