We are seeking International Business and Policy Manager with Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study. What to look forward to: As an International Business and Policy Manager, you will be using your skills and expertise to drive development and implementation of corporate policy through strategic partnerships with government and industry groups. You'll be responsible for guiding and representing the company on legislative and regulatory affairs with elected officials and government officials in regulatory agencies. You'll positively impact the business by directing and working with designated trade and business associations, advocacy groups on political, legislative and regulatory issues of importance to the company At SNC's Washington, DC office we are responsible for government affairs, international strategy, international business, and trade and regulatory compliance. We provide strategic guidance across the organization, helping to find alignment and compliance between SNC and the national security priorities of the US government. Learn more about the Washington, DC team Must-haves:Bachelor's degree (advanced preferred) in a related field of study. A higher level degree may substitute for experience. Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education5+ years of experience in international business, export controls, security cooperation/foreign assistance Expertise in US government affairs and related regulatory environment/processesStrategic mindset able to navigate, affect, and/or lead complex initiatives with senior level stakeholdersStrong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. Able to establish and develop relationships with easeExtensive knowledge of the DOD Technical Security and Foreign Disclosure (TSFD) system and overall security cooperation/foreign assistance apparatus Ability to digest complex regulations/policies and interpret implications to a broad portfolioAdvanced understanding of US trade regulations (ITAR/EAR) and the stakeholder equities throughout Dept of Defense, Dept of State, Dept of Commerce, etc. The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Security Clearance is required. Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances Preferred:Basic knowledge of US export controls and associated USG processes/equitiesExtensive experience facilitating requirements and processes for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) IMPORTANT NOTICE: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Security Clearance. US Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active US Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
