Who we are looking forThe Mid-level Unix Administrator will work with a group of UNIX/Linux Systems Administrators at the Patuxent River Data Center (PRDC). The UNIX team member will ensure that all systems on Department of Defense (DoD) networks are appropriately patched and configured to the organizationally defined hardening policies. The UNIX team member will ensure that National Help Desk incidents and service requests are completed/resolved in a timely manner as well as work on ad-hoc projects involving different systems and applications across the Data Center. Required Skills and Experience: Clearance Level Required: Current Active DOD Secret Level DoD 8570 compliant (IAT Level II)(Examples of minimum acceptable certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, G SEC, Security+ CE, SSCP) A minimum of 2-5 years of related IT experience is required Demonstrated experience maintaining the integrity and security of a Unix/Linux environment Mid-level Systems Administration experience with emphasis on strong Solaris experience Knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting methods.
