Summary

This position is located in the Department of the Treasury, Departmental Offices, Assistant Secretary for Management/CFO, DAS Information Systems & CIO, ACIO Enterprise Applications Services, Enterprise Applications Cybersecurity. The position purpose is to supervise a team and work with a diverse group of stakeholders to improve and secure the applications, systems, and digital services Treasury delivers to citizens, businesses, and government.

Responsibilities

As a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC), you will:
- Manage the security operations and development of assigned systems (both unclassified and classified collateral), especially compliance with Treasury's security program, monitoring and improvement of its security posture, and advising of key stakeholders of risks and tracking remediation.
- Oversee the work of a subordinate staff of IT Specialists (INFOSEC) who are engaged in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all IT systems operated by or on behalf of the Department of the Treasury.
- Oversee the work as a technical lead of IT security contractor staff who are engaged in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of assigned IT systems operated by or on behalf of the Department of the Treasury.
- Lead the analysis, reporting, and remediation (plan of action and milestones) of security incidents, threat assessments, and findings from audits, testing, and other sources to the assigned infrastructure and systems managed by Enterprise Business Solutions and OCIO.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience for the GS-14: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
- Experience participating in the analysis, reporting, and remediating (plan of action and milestones) of security incidents, threat assessments, and findings from audits, testing, and other sources.; AND
- Experience participating in systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews.; AND
- Experience identifying and suggesting resolutions to issues, impediments, and obstacles to achieving IT security goals and program success.

In addition to meeting specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
1. Attention to Detail- Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
2. Customer Service- Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral Communication- Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving- Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
