Our IT Department in Baltimore, MD, has a great opportunity for an entry level candidate seeking to gain exposure and experience in the IT field. We are looking for a motivated individual that others consider a go-to problem solver as a Help Desk Support Technician. This person's role is to provide technical support and assistance to end-users of all levels. This will include supporting both software and hardware issues. This position requires good communication, customer service, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to research, resolve and escalate IT issues when necessary. This position responds to many channels including work tickets, phone calls, emails, and walk-up personnel requesting support. Responsibilities:Delivering the highest level of customer service and support to our customersReturn customer calls in a timely and professional mannerSupport Windows 10, Office 365, and a wide variety of other applicationsAbility to work independently and take initiativesConfigure computer systems for new or re-imagesResponsible for maintaining inventory and asset control records in database Contact and coordinate all software and hardware vendor support requests for defective productsEnter all calls into Help Desk ticketing system, and update tickets according to organizational guidelinesStrictly adhere to all escalation procedures to ensure all problems are resolved in a timely manner and with the highest level of customer serviceSome travel is requiredRequirements:Applicants must possess the following:Two or four-year degree relating to Computer Information SystemsComptia A+ and/or Microsoft Certification or related certification preferredMust be able to lift 40 lbsApplicant must have a valid driver's license and clean driving recordUS Citizenship RequiredSome experience supporting desktops/laptops/printers in a production Help Desk environment in the following areas:Knowledge of the Windows 10 desktop operating systems Experience and knowledge in working with MS Office and Office 365 suite, OneDrive and TeamsUnderstanding of Microsoft Active Directory account management, a plusExperience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing PC hardwareBasic understanding of LAN/WAN technologyExperience with Apple IOS and Android devicesPatience when working with non-technical usersStrong oral and written communication skills essentialOutstanding Customer Service oriented attitudeBenefits:WRA recognizes that employees play an important role in its success.
