The ideal candidate will bring a consistent track record of success in delivery of high-impact technical solutions, the integration and application of knowledge and skills in enterprise transformation and related disciplines, proven ability to provide technical and/or project team leadership within challenging customer environments, and passion for contributing to growing technical capabilities in enterprise architecture, innovation, analytics and optimization. The successful candidate will be expected to continue to develop and expand their individual expertise, to lead and/or contribute to fast-paced projects as a member of high-performing multi-disciplinary teams, to provide subject matter expertise, technical mentoring and coaching for less experienced staff, and to lead/contribute to the development, evolution, and application of emerging technical capabilities. As an Enterprise Architect, you will provide thought leadership and problem solving for government customers in the IC. As an individual contributor and senior advisor, you will provide senior leaders with advice and an understanding of techniques and effective approaches to enterprise level architecture and design, governance, and supporting technologies.Responsibilities Include:+ Assist government leaders in defining the vision and determining the direction of change through a period of major government transformation+ Assist in analysis, transition, and improvement at multiple levels of enterprise architecture design and execution at the department and agency level, identifying core competencies, defining measures, and identifying capabilities+ Help government leaders to translate their mission, vision, goals, and strategies into actionable programs within a coherent concept of operations+ Analyze the current state and support the design of objective future business and technology operations for federal departments and agencies in order to aid Government decision making and transformation/transition+ Partner with government personnel and working groups to develop an enterprise architecture, plan and roadmap that supports a target state of technologies or desired capabilities+ Assist in assessing and aligning services and technology with desired business/mission or mission support strategies and objectives, concepts of operation, business processes, roles, organizational structures and technology standards+ Facilitate changes to policy and integration challenges, adapting legacy systems to new technology, identifying, and accelerating the adoption of innovations, and creating reference architectures which can be leveraged across a sponsors business+ Provide support in planning, evaluating, and overseeing Custom/Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solution implementations such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) activities and modules, or transitioning from an internal capability to an external service provider (eg shared service)+ Assist federal agencies in overseeing their enterprise business architecture, transition implementations, and architectural components for their organization+ Provide support in designing or guiding the agency to design target architectures and organization capabilities that streamline and modernize federal agency mission or mission-support activities+ Assist others in the development of the necessary transition plans, programs, and projects for implementing change and executing agency transformation+ Promote collaboration and integration with other capability areas across the technical centers and portfolios in MITRE+ Contribute to MITRE's reputation as a thought leader in the advancement of Enterprise Architecture and Transition Implementation within MITRE and across Academia, Gov/Industry Standards and Professional Societies+ Develop trusted strategic partnerships with key customers and stakeholders.Basic Qualifications:+ Bachelor's Degree in Enterprise Architecture, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or related field; or alternatively equivalent experience along with an Enterprise Architecture certification (eg TOGAF, FEAC, etc.) + 5+ years of relevant experienceRequired Qualifications:+ Must be a US citizen with a current Top Secret Clearance, with current or past SCI+ 5+ years of hands-on related experience.+ Demonstrated expertise and application of one or more of the following:+ EA methodologies and frameworks, eg, FEAF, TOGAF, DODAF, etc.+ Architecture development and maintenance methodology+ EA assessments+ EA modeling methods and tools+ Defining and guiding the implementation of reference architectures and technology standards+ Segment architecture development+ Enterprise transformation and transition planning and execution, including roadmaps+ EA performance metrics definition+ Enterprise planning+ Requirements definition, analysis, conducting customer interviews and facilitation+ Experience in creating deliverables and executing on projects according to demanding time frame requirements+ Ability to establish productive relationships with sponsors, MITRE leadership, and department peers+ Ability to convey how individual activities fit into the strategic goals and objectives+ Excellent written and oral communications skills including presentation and facilitationPreferred Qualifications: + Experience ensuring compliance with the United States Government Configuration Baseline (USGCB)+ Experience in one or more of the Intelligence Community (IC) Elements+ Experience working across organizations to achieve integration and governance for improved enterprise-wide technical investments, change management, governance and information-sharing+ Understanding of how architecture supports policy analysis and development across and within IC elements+ Prior experience working for senior executives and decision-makers+ Experience interfacing with Agile delivery teams+ Experience creating visualizations such as customer journey maps and dashboards for executive and business audiencesThis requisition requires the following clearance(s):MITRE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
