Ballard Spahr LLP seeks to hire a HUD Loan Paralegal in the Washington DC office. The paralegal will work with lawyers, legal administrative assistants, paralegals and project assistants within the practice group, as well as, with transaction participants outside the practice group to provide timely high quality transactional legal assistance. The selected individual will assist the lawyers with deal management by performing due diligence review, drafting and negotiation of loan documents, preparing checklists, organizing closing documentation and interfacing with clients.Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential to be successful in this position. Candidates must have a proven track record of being able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong attention to detail.Requirements include a college degree and relevant work experience as a paralegal or closing coordinator, preferably with a title company, mortgage company, law firm or other firm providing services to borrowers, lenders or mortgage companies. Familiarity with a variety of multifamily financing executions involving GSEs and HUD.
