The Building People, LLC, are seeking a Senior Facilities Management Specialist (FMS). The FMS will often serve as the organizational technical expert for the occupying organization to advocate facility improvements and functional changes that will increase the life expectancy of the occupied facility, as well as lend expert guidance to the occupants on the "best fit" for their process within the assigned space. The role will require:+ Federal experience that involves single agency, but multiple departmental interaction+ Federal level experience interacting and GS 12-13-14-15 Personnel + Working within Project defined timelines and preset coordinated meetings+ Use and Firsthand Knowledge of Key Performance and Metrics, Data Analytics for information assessmentWork standardized office hours, Monday-Friday, 0700- 1800 rangeResponsibilities/Duties+ The FMS will be responsible for arranging meetings between Agency personnel and contractors, customers, technical personnel, engineers, and managers, etc. The FMS's purpose is often to serve as an advocate and technical liaison to effect decisions that meet everyone's requirements without degradation to the facility or operating systems. The FMS will also play a key role projecting program requirement for future planning based on the agencies Master Plan and renovation plans. The FMS will analyze the "as-is" workplace environment, and manage the program moving to a "to-be" workplace solution. + Leads an interdepartmental project team to collect and document business requirements, define scope, milestones, activities, and project schedule.+ Ensures tasks and deliverables are appropriately completed. + Plans, tracks and manages activities and milestones throughout the program and/or project lifecycle.+ Coordinates current state gap analysis as needed to ensure optimal post project adoption.+ Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.+ Prepares and manages a budget based on estimates.+ Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to stakeholders; provides recommendations for risk mitigation. + Provides day-to-day direction for core team, meeting with members as needed to ensure timely project milestone delivery and effective cross-functional team collaboration.+ Closely monitors and controls program/project issues to ensure minimal impact to delivery.+ Collaborates with program/project team and stakeholders on issue resolution.+ Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.+ Acts as a liaison between company, sponsor, stakeholders, customers, and vendors+ Communicates and collaborates with business partners to ensure training and dissemination of information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.Required SkillsThe FMS will need to be able to: perform multiple and varying complex assignments under the limited direction of the manager or team lead.+ Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills.+ Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail+ Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.+ Strong facilitation skills+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.+ Strong leadership skills+ Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills+ Strong experience in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, or Google Docs, Sheets and Slides+ Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.+ Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software+ Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner.Required Experience+ Minimum ten years' experience leading and managing large, complex, multi-facility, enterprise-wide facility projects.+ Minimum five years' experience leading and managing large and complex Workplace Solution programs in a complex Facilities environment. Preferred Experience+ Federal Real Property + Federal Program ManagementRequired Education+ Bachelor's degree in related field, which may include Facilities Management, Business, or Engineering.Preferred Education+ PMP and/or comparable project management certifications highly preferred+ CFM, FMA, RPA and/or comparable Facility Management certification highly preferred
