The Engagement and Ecosystem team brings the power of Tableau analytics to the places where people can work together to discover and act on insights from data that matters to them.We're looking for a UX Designer with drive to join our product team creating ways for people to work together with data. Think about all the things people love about your favorite apps. Add your list of 'loves' to what people love about Tableau. That is, in a nutshell, what we're aiming to accomplish, for the people who use Tableau.You'll help organizations democratize data by removing barriers to access for individuals. You'll partner with engineers and PMs building the next generation of analytics tools that can be used by anyone who has data, from non-profits to research firms to startups to fortune-500 companies.You will be most successful if you have an interest in data and a background in software design where you had to make something inherently complicated as simple as possible without oversimplifying it. You are passionate about creating delightful experiences and at the same time adaptable to changing business and engineering needs. And you should be comfortable translating deep technical conversations through a lens of user needs, empathy, and ethical considerations. If this sounds like you, we'd love to meet!**Some of the things you'll be doing include **+ Be the go to designer on projects from start to finish.+ Create user journeys, wireframes, detailed UI flows, and pixel perfect screens.+ Design experiences that feel simple and straightforward, even when the tasks involved may not be.+ Build prototypes that show full experiences and micro interactions.+ Work closely with user research, product management, and engineering, be they front-end, back-end, or QA, from beginning to end.+ Develop an deep understanding of our users.+ Develop a point of view on how your work integrates into the wider ecosystem of Tableau and Salesforce customer platforms.+ Effectively communicate your ideas to a range of stakeholders and audiences through presentation and storytelling.+ Foster a healthy design practice by giving and receiving feedback with maturity and perspective.**Who you are **+ A good listener who can build consensus among a diverse group of stakeholders. You know when to ask questions.+ Have a desire to learn. Excitement at the prospect of growing as a designer.+ Committed to collaboration. It's impossible the good ideas come only from you.+ Have a background in HCI, Design, or a related field. You know the theory behind interaction design.+ Have experience using design and prototyping tools to translate ideas into working products (eg, Sketch, Figma, Framer, Adobe XD, InVision).+ Have a strong UX design portfolio of work that demonstrates at least 2 years of work shipping software.+ Working knowledge of design best practices, with responsive design in mind.
