Data Engineer, Mid Key Role: Support the development and maintenance of scalable data stores that supply big data in forms needed for mission analysis. Apply specific functional and working or general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide the activities of junior employees, if needed. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years experience in developing with Python 5+ years experience with developing on Linux/Unix/POSIX OS 3+ years experience in developing data solutions that interact with SQL or NoSQL data storage Experience with performing data analysis and data modeling Knowledge of AWS cloud services that include S3, EMR, or Kinesis Knowledge of protocols and methods used to exchange data, including HTTPS, REST, SOAP, or SFTP Top Secret clearance HS diploma or GED Security+ or CISSP Certification Additional Qualifications: Experience with ETL technologies, including Nifi, StreamSets, Storm/Kafka, or Spark BA or BS degree AWS Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
