Summary: The main function of Senior Software Developer in Test (SDET) position is to work as part of a Platform product team and perform business analyses for assigned product(s) in order to ensure that the platform meets the needs of the business communities it will serve. Be able to represent the business user to the delivery team and anticipate the needs of the end user. Envision and harmonize feature requirements to ensure that platform optimally meets needs of the disparate business organizations and processes it supports. Help drive platform transformation to integrate functionality that more effectively facilitates core business needs.Job Responsibilities: Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures Test system modifications to prepare for implementation Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes Create or maintain databases of known test defects Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery datesQualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, engineering, or related field required (Master's Degree Preferred) 8+ years experience in Software Development - specifically within a Full Java Stack Thorough knowledge of Object Oriented Principles and Design Experience with REST API, UI Testing Extensive knowledge of SQL and Databases Learn new processes quickly Strong written and oral communication skillsOther Skills/Interests: Financial Industry experience.
