ASRC Federal is responsible for managing the NASA Software Engineering Services II (SES II) contract. This includes the following software engineering capabilities: Systems Engineering, Ground Software, Flight Software, Flight System V, IT Development, Science System Development and Data Processing. Software Developer for Satellite Monitoring Applications ASRC Federal is looking for a software engineer to be a member of an innovative, high performance agile development team for full-stack development of advanced troubleshooting, monitoring tools which will improve efficiency by reducing the number of Tier-1 false positive error messages and unnecessary escalation to Tier 2+ This tool will be part of the ASRC Federal suite of advanced satellite trending and analysis software that leverages the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to produce accurate forecasting of satellite instrument failures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on leading tools and technologies including machine-learning and data processing technology. Experience with Elastic Stack, RPM, Angular, and Python object oriented programming experience is preferred. Applicant for this position must be able to able to successfully pass NOAA/NASA background check and be able to be on site at NSOF located in Suitland Maryland at least once a week. Responsibilities Produce functioning and serviceable code within deadlines Work as part of an Agile team using a user centric iterative design model Develop backend and front end components that meet customer requirements On site (NSOF) deployment (RPM) and testing in customer test lab with real data Participate in all reviews of own code; expected to maintain familiarity with approved and merged code Thoroughly diagnose assigned tasks and present implementation strategy prior to development Maintain working knowledge of application requirements ASRC Federal and its Subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
