A division of Huntington Ingalls Industries Who we areHII-Technical Solutions Division is currently seeking a Network Analyst to work at a client location in Washington, DC (preferred) or San Antonio, Texas. The Network Analyst will provide tier 2 help desk support to end-users, network administrators, and others experiencing network issues. This position will work 7AM-3PM EST, Sunday through Thursday. To be successful in this role, the candidate should have excellent skills in performing issue analysis and making decisions. This includes but is not limited to technical, procedural, operational, and functional issues. + Assist court network administrators troubleshoot routers and switches+ Perform the initial evaluation, triage, and ticket handling.+ Provide in-depth technical notification to the customer and timely triage basis for WAN, voice, security, and remote access related incidents+ Work directly with various stakeholders for all circuit testing, hardware support and engineering, and other site outages, to ensure the customer related event is handled to resolution. + Maintains smooth operation of local area, worldwide and virtual private networks (VPN).+ Plans, evaluates, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network.+ Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.+ May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings.+ Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.+ Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.+ May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment.+ May design network or portion of network that include selection of hardware and software packages.+ Excellent customer service skills+ Excellent skills with communicating in speaking and writing+ Excellent skills with analyzing issues, performing troubleshooting, and decision making+ This position will perform provide assistance, support, and resolution for network issues and end-user requests, working 7AM-3PM EST, Sunday through Thursday. The Network Analyst will work with a variety of stakeholders, including the US Federal courts and court IT staff. What you must have+ 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.+ Experience in specialized areas:+ Help desk support + ITSM ticketing systems (like HEAT, Remedy, or ServiceNow) + Networking knowledge and experience + Cisco network environment support + Clearance: must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearanceBonus points for+ Bachelor's degree and 9 years of experience + 6 years of specialized experience, which includes, but is not limited to, experience with: + Help desk support + ITSM ticketing systems (like HEAT, Remedy, or ServiceNow) + Networking knowledge and experience + Cisco network environment support + One or more of the following certifications: + Network+ + CCNA + HDI CSRHuntington Ingalls Industries is America's largest military shipbuilding company and a provider of professional services to partners in government and industry.
