Senior Associate, Campus D&I Recruiting

As part of Capital One's D&I Campus Recruiting team, you will be on a team specifically focused on driving our recruiting and sourcing pipelines for our diversity and early engagement initiatives. Campus Recruiting is a highly strategic and high-volume pipeline for Capital One that is continuing to grow.

As a member of this fast-paced, high-performing team, you will work to attract high-caliber students from Historically Black Colleges & Universities and Hispanic Serving Institutions across the country for a number of different opportunities, including sourcing for our early engagement programs as well as internships and full time opportunities. Specifically, you will work to look at new and diverse sourcing pipelines that align with our team's strategies and goals and rigorously source and recruit candidates throughout the campus season. This individual will also be responsible for influencing and continuously improving event strategies. They should be comfortable testing and learning different approaches to reach diverse candidates.

Responsibilities:
  • Source and drive new, diverse and creative pipelines of candidates for Capital One - bring candidates in and generate excitement in new populations for career paths at the company
  • Track high-volume candidate data in real-time with precision
  • Build relationships with candidates at a high-volume, understand their interest and passion and direct them to the right role or opportunity
  • Potential for full life-cycle recruitment including executing all stages of the recruitment process
  • Serve as a key contact for candidates throughout their college career
  • Support management of relevant departmental data systems, including candidate tracking database, budget tracking, decision-making tools and ad-hoc reporting requests
  • Responding to a range of queries from associates and other team members
  • Regularly and systematically use data to uncover opportunities, track performance, and drive decision making
  • Utilize a blend of strategic and tactical thinking as well as creative and analytical reasoning to approach work
  • Contribute collaboratively to the team and navigate and influence the organization
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities in ambiguous contexts
  • Manage and implement campus events strategy within HBCU and HSI schools
  • Provide regular updates to candidates, team, and business partners in an effective manner, adjusting style to the appropriate audience
  • Work some evenings and weekends and travel up to 25% of the time
  • Contribute to ad-hoc recruitment projects

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in campus recruiting
  • At least 2 years of experience in recruiting at HBCUs and other minority serving institutions

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • 3+ years of experience in planning events
  • Prior experience in a high volume, corporate university recruiting environment
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Results-oriented and demonstrated ability to be accountable and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Creative thinker and self-starter with the ability to come up with innovative ideas and solutions
